Jessica Casares

Jessica Casares, Mariposa's Director of Admissions, has been working in the childcare field for over 20 years. After taking parenting classes at Jack C. Hays High School, she knew that working for children was her cosmic task, and soon started volunteering at child care centers. Along her journey, she met Whitney and had the opportunity to be her support guide. The two bonded instantly over their shared views on child development, Montessori philosophy, and passion and love of children.

At the founding of Mariposa, in 2007, Jessica was hired as the very first support guide. After working with and being inspired by Whitney's teachings, Jessica decided to earn her Birth-3 Montessori credential from the Cambridge Montessori Institute in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Over the years, Jessica has worn many hats including Lead Guide of the Lily Community, Assistant Director, Director, and now Director of Admissions.

When not at Mariposa, Jessica loves to hang out with her family and friends.
