Julia

Julia is joining the Mariposa Elementary Department as a Reading and Academic Specialist. She received her bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin and her Master’s in Education from University of Maryland. She is currently certified as a reading specialist, and on the path to become an academic language therapist from the Rawson Saunders Institute in Austin, TX.

Julia has a strong passion for education and helping students reach their goals in the classroom and beyond. She is excited to guide the students at Mariposa to learn and enjoy reading. She currently lives in South Austin with her husband, her four young children and her dog.
