Leslie H.

Leslie received her Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Southwestern University in 2003. A few years later, she discovered her passion for working with children by becoming a Children’s House support guide in 2007. Since then, she has been a Support Guide in the Nido, Toddler, and Lower Elementary classrooms. In 2014 she began her Montessori training program at the Houston Montessori Center and received her Infant and Toddler credential in 2015.

Leslie was a Lead Guide for 8 years in Mariposa’s Nido environment. She was inspired to take on a leadership role and joined Mariposa’s administrative team as Head of School in 2022. She is proud to be in a position where she can support Mariposa’s incredible families and staff.

When not at the school, Leslie loves to spend time with her husband Ben and son Luke. She loves to go to comedy shows and explore the outdoors!
