Job Summary
This is a temporary job position. We are hiring immediately and the position will end in June. The Montessori Infant Support Guided position is dedicated to providing nurturing and educational support to infants and toddlers in a Montessori Infant Room setting. This role involves creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of children 4-18 months. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and possess the skills necessary to foster their growth and learning.
Duties
Provide attentive and compassionate caregiving to infants and toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote developmental milestones in areas such as language, motor skills, and social interaction.
Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration.
Collaborate with other childcare professionals to develop lesson plans that meet the needs of each child.
Monitor children's behavior and development, documenting progress and communicating with parents or guardians as needed.
Administer first aid when necessary and respond appropriately to any emergencies or health concerns.
Engage with children through play, reading, singing, and other interactive activities that encourage learning.
Requirements
Previous experience in caregiving or childcare settings is preferred, particularly with infants and toddlers.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles is highly desirable.
Familiarity with first aid procedures is beneficial; certification in first aid is a plus.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
Ability to create a nurturing atmosphere that fosters trust and security among children.
Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children are essential traits for success in this role.
A background in toddler care or experience in a daycare setting will be advantageous.

Substitute guide:
Responsibilities:
Supervise and care for children, preferably across levels from infants to middle school. We will consider applicants with level specific preferences.
Work cohesively with the lead teacher’s plans to prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active Montessori learning experiences.
Prepare and maintain a well-organized, safe, and attractive classroom environment conducive to the optimal growth and development of children
Assist in guiding every child through self-directed activities, allowing them to develop at his or her own pace.
Along with lead teachers, foster a nurturing, safe, and stimulating, non-competitive environment.
Support children’s increasing independence with daily living skills.
Hours: as needed
Salary: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
