Kristen Moreno

Hi y’all!  

My name is Kristen Moreno. I was born and raised in Tucson Arizona and while I am very loyal to the beautiful Sonoran Desert I grew up in, I feel very lucky to call Texas my other home. As nothing could take away my love of two-stepping and hill country swim holes.  

I’ve had the pleasure of working with children (on and off) since 2016 and discovered the Montessori method in 2020 when I began working at Mariposa. It completely transformed my life and inspired me to pursue my Montessori birth-three teacher training. I earned my infant/toddler credential through the Center for Guided Montessori Studies in the summer of 2024.

I have a deep love and respect for nature, plants, and animals and enjoy spending time outdoors – especially hiking and camping. I am passionate about music, yoga, and dance and enjoy going two-stepping with my husband, Jaime. I am also an avid cat lady and love spending time with my own kitty, Pumpkin. 

I am passionate about authentic Montessori education, and I am honored to be a guide on this special journey of infancy. I believe the Montessori method of education has the power to positively change the world, and I am grateful to be on this journey with you all.
